Company positions offer a 5 week paid contract period with several performances
throughout Colorado during the months of May and June 2018.
Information regarding our apprentice program-
The Zikr Dance Ensemble Apprentice Program is a five week course that works alongside the Zikr Dance Ensemble Company. This exciting opportunity is by invitation only, through audition, and serves as a wonderful learning opportunity for young dancers to experience working with a professiomal company. It is a great transition for those seeking a career in dance. It is also a wonderful way to keep in shape before the summer intensive season gets into full swing.
Dancers have the opportunity to take daily company class lead by Artistic Director David Taylor or special guest artists from the Colorado Ballet.
The dancers will attend company rehearsal, have certain dances choreographed on them, and they will also appear in Zikr’s season of performances at theaters such as the Lakewood Cultural Center, Boulder's Dairy Center for the Arts and Colorado Ballet's Black Box Theatre.
Our previous apprentice programs have been very successful with young dancers from Colorado Ballet's Studio Company, Denver Ballet Theatre and Cleveland Ballet, Ohio joining us.
Tuition for the 5 week program is $500.
